Director of Bands
Keith Alexander Morales serves as Director of Bands at Del Valle High School in the Ysleta Independent School District. His previous experience includes serving as Associate Director of Bands at Del Valle High School.
Since the summer of 2011, Mr. Morales has been an instructor at the Texas Tech Band and Orchestra Camps, teaching improvisation classes, assisting with the jazz ensembles, giving trumpet master classes, and conducting concert bands.
Mr. Morales graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2013 with bachelor’s degrees in music education, Trumpet Performance, and Jazz Studies. In May of 2022, Morales Graduated with a master’s degree in Trumpet from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Mr. Morales is a dedicated clinician based in the southwest. He has had the privilege of serving as the clinician for the TMEA All-Region Jazz Band in Region 22 and has also worked with the YISD Middle School Jazz Band. Currently, he holds the position of chair for the All-Region and All-State Jazz trumpet panels, and serves as the Jazz Coordinator for Region 22. Additionally, Mr. Morales performs with the El Paso Wind Symphony, the Five Four Brass Quintet, and Mariachi Imperial.
Mr. Morales currently resides in El Paso, Texas with his wife Tracy Morales, his sons Miles and Marsalis, and his daughters Ava and Claire.
